Why Date Calculations Aren't Simple Subtraction
Calculating the difference between two dates isn't as simple as subtracting day numbers, because months have varying lengths (28, 29, 30 or 31 days) and leap years add an extra day to February every four years. This calculator automatically accounts for the Gregorian calendar's rules, including leap years, so results are always accurate regardless of which months or years are involved. What's the difference between calendar days and business days?
Calendar days count every day including weekends. Business days only count weekdays (Monday-Friday), which is what most contract, shipping and payment terms actually reference.
Does the business days calculation account for public holidays?
No — it excludes weekends only. Public holidays vary significantly by country and region, so check your local holiday calendar separately for holiday-sensitive deadlines.
How do I find what date is 90 days from today?
