Plenty of everyday decisions involve numbers: comparing a mortgage, planning savings, understanding a date, converting a measurement or estimating a cost. The calculation itself is often only part of the question.
CalcNest is built around the idea that useful tools should make the result easier to understand, compare and act on. Depending on the calculator, that can mean scenario comparisons, charts, worked examples, explanations or additional context alongside the result.
Some tools are intentionally simple. Others are more detailed decision tools. We add complexity when it improves the answer — not simply to make a calculator look more advanced.

Features are chosen for the question being solved, rather than added simply because they are possible.

Methodology, assumptions, examples and supporting content are added where they help users understand what the output actually means.
AI can explain a result. It shouldn't secretly change it.
Some CalcNest tools may use AI to provide additional explanations, answer relevant follow-up questions or explore hypothetical scenarios.
Where a calculator has deterministic calculation logic, that calculation remains the authoritative numerical result. AI-generated text is intended to help interpret or explore those results, not silently replace the underlying formula.
We aim to show where important numbers come from.
Calculators that rely on external rules, rates or thresholds may use information from government agencies, regulators, established institutions or other relevant sources. Where appropriate, methodology and source information is included on the calculator page.
Some information changes over time. Tax rules, fees, interest rates, eligibility requirements and other external data can be updated after a page is published. We aim to review time-sensitive tools, but users should verify important decisions against the relevant current official source.

CalcNest provides general-purpose calculators and informational tools. Results may be estimates and are not a substitute for professional financial, tax, legal, medical or other specialist advice where that advice is appropriate.

CalcNest's standard calculators are available without requiring an account. Operating and improving the site has costs, so CalcNest may be supported through advertising, affiliate partnerships, referral arrangements and other commercial relationships.

Where CalcNest may receive a commission, referral fee or other commercial benefit from a link or partner, we aim to disclose that relationship where appropriate. A commercial relationship does not change the underlying deterministic calculation produced by a calculator.

Products, services or partners should only appear where they are relevant to the surrounding tool or content. CalcNest does not aim to turn every calculator result into a product recommendation.
