What Are Working Days?
Working days — also called business days — are days when most businesses operate. Typically Monday to Friday, excluding weekends and public holidays. Some industries also work Saturdays which is why the Saturday toggle is included.
Working days are used for project planning, payroll calculations, delivery estimates, contract deadlines and legal notice periods.
How to Add Public Holidays
Enter your public holiday dates one per line in the format YYYY-MM-DD. For example Christmas Day would be 2026-12-25. Check your country’s official government website for the full list of public holidays — they vary by country and sometimes by region within a country.
How Many Working Days in a Year?
A standard working year has approximately 260 working days — 52 weeks × 5 days. Subtract your country’s public holidays to get the actual number. Most countries have 8-14 public holidays per year giving approximately 246-252 actual working days annually.

What is the difference between working days and calendar days?
Calendar days include every day of the week including weekends. Working days only count Monday to Friday excluding public holidays. A 10 calendar day period typically contains 7-8 working days.
