How Is Age Calculated?
Age is calculated by finding the difference between the date of birth and the current date in years, months and days. The calculation accounts for leap years and varying month lengths to give a precise result.
Understanding Age in Different Units
Years — your age in whole years since your date of birth.
Total days — the total number of days you’ve been alive including leap days.
Total weeks — total days divided by 7.
Total months — years × 12 plus the remaining months.
The calculator shows all of these so you can see how much time you’ve actually lived in any unit.
