How Is a Due Date Calculated?
A pregnancy lasts approximately 280 days (40 weeks) from the first day of your last menstrual period. This is known as Naegele’s Rule and is the standard method used by doctors worldwide. If your cycle is longer or shorter than 28 days, the calculator adjusts accordingly.

How accurate is this due date calculator?
It uses Naegele’s Rule, the standard medical method. Most babies arrive within 2 weeks either side of the due date — only around 5% are born exactly on their due date.
What if I don’t know my last period date?
Use the Conception Date option if you know roughly when conception occurred, or the Known Due Date option if your doctor has already given you one.
